Joe McDonaldJoe McDonald is a Biologist with a historical bias in Research & Development  and commercial farming of new marine aquaculture species.  Working extensively throughout Asia, providing technology transfer and consultancy services.

He is the Co founder and Managing Director of Varicon Aqua Solutions Ltd and Co founder, Chief Operating Officer and Technical Director of Sasaran Varicon Aqua (Malaysia) Algae production specialist.

He is also the Committee member, Bio-Based Products Working Group, British Standards Institute.(BSI).

He has 20 years algal culture experience utilising and developing various production systems and techniques for mass culture of various algae species.
