Dr. Jukka Seppälä is a senior scientist at Marine Research Center of Finnish Environment Institute. He has 20 years experience on phytoplankton ecology studies at the Baltic Sea and obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Helsinki in 2009.
His scientific interests include biofuel production from algal biomass, physiology and especially photobiology of phytoplankton, and development of measuring techniques for marine optical studies.
