Dominique Delobel, 55, is a graduate from a French business school since 1977.
He developed his career in management and organization of companies from all sizes and all economic sectors in which he has installed computerized management systems in France and Western Europe.
During this first professional life, he gained twenty years of experience in technical and trade relations with over 300 companies.
Installed over the past decade in southern Tunisia, the second part of his professional life has brought him closer to microalgae:
- At first as a producer
- then during the seven next years as a designer of systems suitable for production of large biomasses in sandy and desertic areas under hot weather
Since early 2010, he is the founder and CEO of AlgaeStream, a French engineering company that positions itself as a provider for production solutions at large scale and low cost.

Vincent R. Toepoel has an academic degree in energy technologies from Delft University of Technology. From the market pull perspective, Vincent was independent consultant for IATA on technology and alternative fuels in which the demand for algae based biofuels for aviation was raised.
Dr. Jukka Seppälä is a senior scientist at Marine Research Center of Finnish Environment Institute. He has 20 years experience on phytoplankton ecology studies at the Baltic Sea and obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Helsinki in 2009.
Dr. Ulrike Schmid-Staiger has a Biology degree from Tübingen, Germany and completed her diploma and doctorate at the Institute for Biotechnology 1 in Jülich, Germany.
Dr. Chen Zhao is currently a Senior Scientist and group leader inCatalysis Research Center and Chemistry Department of Technische Universität München since 2010. She obtained her Ph.D from Peking University of China from 2009. Then she started as a postdoctoral fellow in the group of Prof. Johannes A. Lercher at Technische Universität München from 2009 to 2010.
Doug DiLillo is the Global Marking Lead for Industrial BioTechnology at Pall Corporation. Doug received his bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from State University of NY StonyBrook in Stony Brook, New York and also attended the University of California, San Diego studying Biomedical Engineering.
Professor Will Zimmerman, CEng FIChemE, Chair of Biochemical Dynamical Systems, Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering, The University of Sheffield. Will is a graduate of Princeton and Stanford Universities.
Jean Blehaut holds a MS degree in Chemical Engineering from ENSIC (Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Industries Chimiques in Nancy, France) and a MS degree in Biochemistry from INSA (Institut National des Sciences Appliquées in Lyon, France).
