Graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Property Management and Valuation from University Technology Malaysia (UTM), Dato’ Leong Kin Mun is a recognised EU project expert in Malaysia.
He has provided leadership and advised on several EUfunded projects in Malaysia on the subject of ICT, environmental and economic cooperation in EU-Malaysia biotechnology sector etc. Dato’ Leong had represented Malaysia to serve in the advisory panel of the European Commission – Asia IT & C and Asia Invest Programme. He is well exposed to the biomass business models especially pellets, woodchips, exports and logistics.
He was the honouree of the prestigious “The Outstanding Young Malaysian (TOYM) Award” in 2002 and was conferred the “Darjah Indera Mahkota Pahang” by the Sultan of Pahang which carried the national title “Dato’” in 2008.

Dr. Pipat Weerathaworn is an Agricultural scientist completing his master degree in agriculture from Kasetsart University, Thailand and doctorate in 1991 from The Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Zurich, Switzerland. He started working in Thai sugar business in 1992 his last position during 2001-2010 was the vice president for research and development at Mitrphol, the biggest sugar group in Thailand, which is producing biomass power at 5-sugar mills. At present, he is in charge of “Green chemicals/products” at the PTT Chemicals Public Company Limited in Thailand.

Austin Arensberg is a specialist in renewable energy project development. After graduating with a degree in Environmental Science and Political Science from the University of Colorado, Boulder, Austin conducted water management research with the National Science Foundation in Shaanxi and Ningxia provinces in Western China in 2005.
From there he worked in a community and environmental NGO in northeastern Thailand and then joined the Post-Graduate Princeton-in-Asia Program with the World Conservation Union, Thailand Program in 2006, serving for a year as a Program Officer conducting projects across the coast of southern Thailand. Austin focuses on developing and sourcing PEI’s Renewable Energy project portfolio and marketing campaigns.
