Indonesian Center for Estate Crops Research and Development (ICERD) is a national research center under the Indonesian Agency for Agriculture Research and Development (IAARD), the Ministry of Agriculture, Republic of Indonesia. One of the mandates of ICERD is to provide jatropha technology, up-stream technology to down-stream technology, especially to provide jatropha cultivation technology and to disseminate the technology to the users.
The research findings of activities related to jatropha and activity of ICERD since 2005 are :
(1) germplasm for exploration of jatropha curcas in Indonesia,
(2) map of land and climate suitability,
(3) selected of good needs of jatropha curcas,
(4) establishment of jatropha curcas mother seed gardens in West Java, Central Java, and East Java,
(5) several cultivation technology,
(6) food selected provenances/superior or seed : IP-1 and IP-2,
(7) machines for peeling jatropha seeds, and
(8) training for farmers, extension workers, entrepreneurs, etc.
ICERD is located in Bogor and has four National Research Institute.
