I refer to your enquiries about the labour hours required. There is considerable debate about this, but everyone agrees that Jatropha is CURRENTLY a labour intensive crop as fruits are still harvested by hand.

However, as we speak, there are individuals and organisations who are working on developing mechanical harvesting devices for Jatropha plantations which will cut down on the labour needed.

In fact, at JatrophaWorld 2008 Miami, we are finalising a panel discussion of such individuals to discuss the latest in mechanical harvesting technologies.
