Abundant Biofuels Corporation is an integrated renewable energy company.   Its goal is to build partnerships in energy-dependent developing countries that will produce bio-diesel from sustainable, renewable oil fields. 

The Company has built or is building jatropha-based energy projects in Ghana, the Philippines and Colombia on more than 2.5mm acres of marginal, underused land.  Its profitable business model provides:

• Positive environmental impact – There is no deforestation, no diversion of productive agricultural land, and no irrigation
• Positive in-country economic impact – Import substitution while helping workers out of poverty
• Positive environmental impact – Existing acreage will produce 13.3 million metric tons when fully planted.

Charles FishelDr. Charles V. Fishel
is chairman and CEO of Abundant Biofuels Corporation. 

He has held senior management, finance and legal roles with Fortune 100 multi-national organizations, namely Intel, Teledyne, Carnation Company, Peter Kiewit Sons’ and Williams Companies as well as some start-up companies.  His industry experience includes technology electronics, biotechnology, nanotechnology, insurance, construction, mining, broadcasting, food processing, energy, manufacturing, public utility, and consulting about technology evaluation and commercialization.

He serves on the Environmental Impacts Working Group and Social Impacts Working Group and also as Director on the boards of several public and private for-profit companies, including the Brownfield Foundation, Inc., a charitable, non-profit corporation dedicated to land recycling for the good of the community and the environment.

Dr. Fishel teaches at San Jose State University and is a visiting professor at the Naval Postgraduate School.    He is the author of Global Business Strategies (CyclopsMedia: 2004).
