ESV Group has planted 4000ha of Jatropha and have 2 on-farm Nurseries. We have made good progress in seed selection ,planting , and pruning methods in Jatropha. The farm employs 1000 people and follows FSC and Creamer commission standards.

Speaker Profile
Mr Van Rooyen has been doing business in Africa for the past 2 decades. He is an expert in running big agricultural projects, especially start up projects. He was one of the driving forces and co-founder of Aqua Soil, a fertilizer company and later Aqua Matrix. He was involved with commodity trading across the continent. He actively gives papers on precision forestry in South Africa and Brazil. He is currently the GM of ESV Jatropha Plantation in Mozambique and head up there operations in Africa.
