GreenEnergy (GEV) is Vietnam’s First Mover in commercial jatropha cultivation. For the last three years GEV has worked closely with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) to determine both best practice and best planting material for jatropha cultivation in Vietnam. GEV is establishing a 100 hectare national center of excellence to complement its wide ranging trial plots throughout Vietnam.
Vietnam has approximately 5 million hectares of bare, open lands appropriate for jatropha and MARD has a stated goal of 300,000 hectares planted to jatropha by 2015. GEV is taking a measured approach to its expansion into these lands and through its trial plots and education programs will manage the expectations and interests of its stakeholders.
Building on its years of experience refining biodiesel from waste oil, GEV is now extracting oil (CJO) and producing biodiesel from jatropha for testing. There is a strong interest in understanding and testing CJO and/or biodiesel from leading technology and aviation firms from around the world.

Jamey Hadden holds degrees in Economics and an MBA from the USA and for over fifteen years has owned and managed start-up operations in sun-rise industries from Hong Kong to Argentina. Currently living in Vietnam, Mr. Hadden is a founding owner, business development manager and director of GreenEnergy JSC, Vietnam.
In addition to Mr. Hadden’s key role in attracting new investment to GreenEnergy’s jatropha business, he also acts as Business Alliance Manager for Jatoil Ltd. (ASX) investigating new jatropha business opportunities world-wide. Over the last three years, Mr. Hadden has been closely involved in over $20 million of successful placements (both private and public) for jatropha-specific ventures.
