WWF is the world’s largest and most experienced independent conservation organisation, working in more than 90 countries to address issues from the survival of species and habitats to climate change, sustainable business and environmental education. We work with a range of stakeholders including governments, business and industry, media and the general public. Our activities include policy work and campaigning, as well as social change programmes.
WWF is active in bioenergy-related fields like climate change & energy, species, forestry, freshwater, and agriculture. It has initiated commodity initiatives such as FSC or RSPO and is one of the Roundtable on Sustainable Biofuels (RSB) founding members. WWF works on several bioenergy-related policies and projects.
Speaker Profile
Jean-Philippe Denruyter is Renewable Energy Manager at the conservation organisation WWF. In this position he leads WWF’s global renewable energy strategy development and activities.
He also sits on the board of the Roundtable on Sustainable Biofuels and is the former President of the European Green Electricity Network (2006 – 2008). Jean-Philippe has been trader for an energy utility before joining WWF in 2003.
