Dr. Hong Yan got his Ph.D. in Peking Union Medical College in 1989 and MBA from National University of Singapore in 2001.

He is active in both research and technology development in the area of plant biotechnology. He is the GM (research and operation) for JOil (S) Pte Ltd, also an adjunct professor with Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.
