We are happy to announce our panelist, Dr. Sudheer Shetty, who is one of the experts speaking at JATROPHAWORLD 2008. Dr. Shetty is the Founder and Chairman of Labland Biodiesel Company, the first plant biotech company of Mysore which has been successfully running since 1994.

Labland Biodiesel, which is focused on Jatropha-based biodiesel activities, has a strong technical team that supports the International Jatropha Technology center centered at Mysore, India.

In addition to the many International accolades, The National Accreditation Agency of the Govt. of India, has certified the tissue culture and biotech unit of the Labland Biodiesel. The company has also received recognition from India’s Ministry of Science and Technology.

Labland Biodiesel has been short-listed as the technology partner of a few international companies for carrying out research and establishing Jatropha plantations in different parts of the world.

Dr. Shetty has fifteen years of research and ten years of business experience in the field of commercial plant biotechnology, and more than 70 research articles to his credit, published in both National and International Journals.

Dr. Shetty spoke briefly about the theme of the Webcast, “Debunking the Myths of Jatropha” following which, he will very kindly addressed questions sent in by our subscribers.
